Uttarakhand weather update: Rain alert across the state for today
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in all the districts of the state today, June 20. There is a possibility of heavy rain in 7 districts and light rain in the remaining 6 districts. The weather is going to remain like this in the state for the next five days, for this it has been advised to take precautions.

The weather changed on Wednesday afternoon from the mountain to the plains in the entire state which was reeling under the scorching heat . Rain has knocked with strong winds, heavy rains in the entire state on the last day reduced the havoc of heat. The period of rain has now started due to strong western disturbance. A drop of four degrees in temperature has been recorded. Now the weather will remain the same in the coming days, people will get relief from the heatwave.
Weather forecast for today
The forecast issued by the Meteorological Center Dehradun states that there are chances of rain at many places in the entire state today. Today, seven districts of the state, Dehradun, Haridwar, Tehri, Pauri, Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital, Almora and Champawat may receive light to moderate rain, while 5 districts Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar will receive heavy rain, and a warning of thunderstorm and lightning has been issued.
On Wednesday, the maximum temperature of Dehradun was recorded at 40.7 degrees and the minimum temperature at 28.0 degrees Celsius. While the maximum temperature of Pantnagar was 41.0 degrees and the minimum temperature was 27.2 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature of Mukteshwar was 31.2 degrees and the minimum temperature was 17.2 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature of New Tehri was recorded at 29.6 degrees and the minimum temperature at 19.0 degrees Celsius.
