Landslide near Sonprayag; SDRF continues relief work

The pilgrims returning after visiting Kedarnath were trapped under the debris due to a heavy landslide from the hill about half a kilometer ahead of Sonprayag on Monday, in which one devotee died on the spot, the injured were sent to Guptkashi Hospital for treatment. Three other devotees also died during treatment.

At the same time, due to rain in this area, stones are continuously falling from the hill, the rescue team is continuously carrying out rescue the operation in this entire area.

According to the information, some passengers got trapped under the debris due to a sudden landslide half a kilometer ahead of Sonprayag at around 7:35 pm on Monday evening. These devotees were returning to Sonprayag after visiting Kedarnath.
