50 percent incentive allowance to be given to specialist doctors posted in the mountains-Health Secretary

Health Secretary Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar said that doctors are an important part of our family. The government is very serious about the demands of the Provincial Medical Association. The state government has decided to give 50 percent incentive allowance to specialist doctors posted in the mountains. He said that the government is constantly trying to resolve every justified demand of the Provincial Medical Health Services Association.

An important meeting was held between Health Secretary Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar and the officials of the Provincial Medical Health Services Association at the Secretariat in Dehradun. In the meeting, the officials of the Provincial Medical Health Services Association presented their nine-point demands one by one to the Health Secretary which were discussed in detail. The first meeting between the Health Secretary and the representatives of the Provincial Medical Health Services Association was positive. The government has agreed in principle to eight out of nine demands of the doctors. Two secretary-level demands have been accepted immediately and a decision can be taken on one demand soon. The Provincial Medical Association expressed gratitude to the Health Secretary for the talks.

After the meeting, Health Secretary Dr. Rajesh Kumar said that the talks have been positive. The government is sympathetically considering all the demands of the doctors. Eight demands have been accepted. The orders of DPC and SDACP will be issued soon. Apart from this, consensus has also been reached on the matter of adjustment of the majority of dentists in relation to the vacant posts. He said that the solution to demands comes from talks. The Health Secretary appealed to all the doctors of the state to continue working with full dedication and sincerity as always, the government is responsible for the solution of their demands and security.

The representatives of the Provincial Medical Services Association said that the talks held with the Health Secretary have been positive. They said that if the work orders of DPC and SDACP of the doctors are issued, then the union will reconsider the proposed strike from October 4.

Additional Secretary Health Anuradha Pal, Director General of Health Dr. Tara Arya, Joint Director Dr. Ajit Mohan Johri, President of Provincial Medical Health Services Association Manoj Verma, General Secretary Dr. Ramesh Kunwar, Vice President Dr. Meeta Srivastava and other officials were present in the meeting.
