Chief Minister Dhami inaugurates Shravani fair of Jageshwar Dham

Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday inaugurated the month-long Shravani Mela at Jageshwar Dham by offering prayers. He planted a padam tree at the Bhandara site of Jageshwar and gave the message of environmental protection along with the wishes of Harela. The Chief Minister prayed at the temple and wished for the happiness and prosperity of the people of the state.

The Chief Minister said that ‘Jageshwar Dham is an unmatched symbol of mythological culture. Coming here gives a feeling of a different kind of peace. Lord Jageshwar showers his blessings on all the devotees.’ Regarding the Shravani Mela, the Chief Minister said that Shravani Mela is a living example of mythological culture. Shravani Mela has been the center of attraction for devotees for centuries.

While wishing the people of the state on Harela festival and Shravani Mela, the double engine government is a government dedicated to the development of Uttarakhand. It is the result of this that Uttarakhand has come first in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals issued by NITI Aayog. This is a positive step towards making Uttarakhand the best state in the country.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister also made several announcements regarding the development of the district, including construction of drinking water pumping scheme for the Jageshwar area including Vridh Jageshwar from Saryu (Seraghat), tarring of Bhagattola Kapkot motor road, connecting Vridh Jageshwar with religious tourism under Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission, construction of dam in Bhikiyasen, establishment of bank in Chamadkhan, renovation of ancient Devyal temple of Bharatoli, renovation and beautification of Dipteshwar Mahadev and Koteshwar Mahadev, construction of motor bridge over Ramganga river on Marchula Bhikiyasen motor road, construction of incomplete building of Mahatma Gandhi Inter College Chanoda Someshwar, mini barrage in Nankosi in Govindpur of development block Hawalbag. Along with the construction of the bridge, the announcement of the proposal for 40 km of asphalting in Jageshwar assembly, etc.

He said that his government is dedicated to the development of the state. The construction work of cycle track is being done from Kosi to Kausani in Almora, which will give impetus to tourism in Almora district. He said that plans are also being made to expand Almora city.

The Chief Minister said that ever since Prime Minister Narendra Modi has offered prayers at Jageshwar Dham, there has been a qualitative increase in the number of devotees here and the number of devotees is constantly increasing. He said that the Narendra Modi-led government at the Center is constantly setting new records of development in the country and the state. The state government is also constantly making efforts to increase pilgrimage in the state. Just as the number of devotees in Kedarnath and Badrinath has increased through the master plan of Kedarnath and Badrinath temple, similarly, the doors of livelihood of the people here will open through the master plan of Jageshwar Dham. He said that after the completion of the work of the master plan of Jageshwar Dham, 10 lakh devotees are expected to come here every year. Through this, the life of the people here will be happy and the economy of the district will also increase.

On this occasion, Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Ajay Tamta also wished the district and the people of the state for Harela festival and Shravani fair. He said that his government is striving for the development of the state. Many works are being done in this direction under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. He said that under his leadership, International Yoga Day has been organized in remote Adi Kailash and Yoga Day has been given international respect. He said that in the coming days, the roads of Uttarakhand will be rejuvenated and the state will rapidly move towards a strong economy.
