Due to the proposed Congress rally on February 16,2026, the police have implemented a route diversion plan. The route will be diverted where the rally will originate. SSP Pramod Singh Dobal stated that once the rally leaves the Parade Ground, traffic from Orient Chowk to Kanak Chowk will be diverted via Globe Chowk. Traffic from Lansdowne Chowk and Buddha Chowk will also be diverted.
When the rally reaches Kanak Chowk, traffic from Pacific Tiraha to Kanak Chowk will be diverted via Taneja Optical Cut to Rozgar Tiraha. Once the rally reaches Orient Chowk, traffic from Kanak Chowk to Orient Chowk will be diverted via Pacific Tiraha. Traffic from Globe Chowk to Orient Chowk will be diverted via Pacific Tiraha.
In addition, traffic from Ghantaghar to Orient Chowk will be diverted towards Darshanlal Chowk. Once the rally passes Orient Chowk, traffic from Globe Chowk will be diverted via Pacific Tiraha. When the rally reaches Globe Chowk, traffic going from Globe Chowk to Bahal Chowk will be diverted towards Baini Bazar via Pacific Tiraha.
No traffic will be allowed behind the rally. After the rally passes Bahal Chowk, traffic coming from Rajpur Road and Baini Bazar Chowk will be allowed to move intermittently. Also, no vehicles will be allowed towards Hathibarkala from Annexe Tiraha. This traffic will be diverted towards Bindal via CSD Tiraha and Vatika Tiraha. When the rally passes Dilaram Chowk, traffic going towards Dilaram from Kalidas Tiraha will be diverted towards Pathariapir, Nashville Road.
