Nifty, Sensex end in green on February 16

The stock market was up today, February 16th. The Sensex gained 650 points to close at 83,277. The Nifty gained 212 points to close at 25,683.

Of the 30 Sensex stocks, 22 stocks gained. 35 Nifty-50 stocks rose. Energy, banking, and pharmaceutical stocks saw increased buying today.

The market had declined last week

Earlier, last week, on February 13th, the stock market had declined. The Sensex closed 1,048 points lower at 82,627. The Nifty also declined 336 points to close at 25,471.
