Fire engulfs house in Tyuni
A fire broke out in a four-storey house made of wood in the main market in Dehradun district’s Tyuni on Thursday evening. In this accident, 4 children were burnt to death. According to the information being received, this incident took place due to the leakage of cooking gas in the residential building and the explosion of the cylinder.
In Tyuni, the four-storey wooden house of Suratram Joshi, a retired employee of the Education Department, is situated on the side of the road. Along with the owner, five families lived in this house on rent. There were five children, two men and a woman living present inside the house on Thursday evening. According to the information, at around 4 pm, Kusum, wife of Vicky, who lives on rent, was changing LPG cylinders. Meanwhile, suddenly the cylinder caught fire. In a panic, Kusum tried to extinguish the fire but the fire started engulfing the wooden house.
After the information, the fire brigade reached the spot, but due to lack of water, the fire could not be controlled. Because of which 4 children died. When the fire broke out, the four cylinders kept in the house exploded one after the other. By the time the fire brigade team returned with water, the fire had engulfed the entire house.
