RIMC Dehradun announces admission Date for January 2026 Session
The application date has been announced for admission to the January-2026 session of Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) Dehradun. The last date for application for admission has been fixed as 31 March 2025. After the application, the entrance examination will be conducted on June 1, 2025.
Application for RIMC session 2026 started, all details
As per the official notification a written examination will be conducted for admission in class VIII in RIMC (Rashtriya Sainik Vidyalaya) in Dehradun. The subjects in the written examination will be: English, Mathematics and General Knowledge. Candidates who will be successful in the written examination will be called for interview to test intellectual knowledge and personality.
Procedure to Obtain Application Forms
The Prospectus-cum-Application Form and Booklet of Old Question Papers can be obtained from The Rashtriya Indian Military College, Garhi Cantt, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, PIN- 248003 by following methods:-
(a) Online Payment
The Prospectus-cum-Application Form and Booklet of Old Question Papers can be obtained by making online payment of Rs 600/- for General Candidates & Rs. 555/- for SC/ST candidates on RIMC website www.rimc.gov.in (on receipt of the payment, the Prospectus- cum-Application Form and Booklet of Old Question Papers will be dispatched by Speed Post only).
Or (b) By Sending Demand Draft
The Prospectus-cum-Application Form and Booklet of Old Question Papers can be obtained by sending a written request with a demand draft of Rs 600/- for General Candidates & Rs 555/- for SC/ST candidates along with caste certificate in favour of “THE COMMANDANT RIMC FUND”, DRAWEE BRANCH, HDFC BANK, BALLUPUR CHOWK, DEHRADUN, (BANK CODE-1399), UTTARAKHAND. The address should be typed/written clearly in CAPITAL LETTERS with Pin Code and contact number. RIMC will NOT be responsible for any postal delay or loss in transit of prospectus caused by illegible or incomplete address. The delay on part of postal department is not the responsibility of RIMC.
Age Criteria
The age of the candidate should not be less than 11 years 6 months and not more than 13 years as on 1st January 2026. The date of birth of the candidate should not be before 02 January 2013 and after 01 July 2014. At the time of admission, the candidate should be studying in class VII in a recognized school or should have passed class VII.
Required Documents
- Two passport size photographs.
- Birth Certificate (from Municipal Corporation, Gram Panchayat).
- Caste Certificate (if applicable).
- Original photo attested certificate of study in the current class certified by the Principal.
- Domicile Certificate of the candidate.
- Aadhar Card of the candidate.
