Traders association calls for weekend closure of market in Doon

In view of the rising corona outbreak, the Dehradun Udyog Vyapar Mandal has called for complete shut down the markets for two days Saturday and Sunday for the next three weeks. The Board of Trade has also met Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and the District Magistrate to seek their cooperation. Along with this, there is also a demand to open the market from 9 am to 7 pm.
Corona is spreading rapidly in Dehradun. With this, the major markets and traders of Doon are also not untouched. This makes the business class quite worried. They are continuously raising demands for complete lockdown on Saturday and Sunday, two days a week in Doon.

In this regard, the delegation of Doon Industry Trade Board met Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and District Magistrate Dr. Ashish Shrivastava. Meanwhile, traders decided that Saturday and Sunday should be completely closed for the next three weeks.
Association’s patron Anil Goyal said that the decision of the traders has been praised by the Chief Minister and the District Magistrate. He has assured that appropriate steps will be taken in this direction.
