Drone threat triggers alert in Chandigarh

Sirens have started ringing once again in Chandigarh due to the possibility of missile or drone attack. Sirens were sounded by the administration at around 9:15 am on Friday morning and people were appealed to stay indoors.

According to the information, a message was given by the DC of Chandigarh at around 9 am that missile attack can be done by drone.

Sirens sounded continuously for 20-25 minutes in Chandigarh and an alert was also been sent by the Chandigarh Administration. The administration has been informed by the Air Force Station. The sound of siren kept resonating in Chandigarh from 9:15 am to 9:40 am.

On the other hand, the DC of Mohali, adjacent to the city, also issued an alert and wrote that an alert has been issued in some areas of Chandigarh. ‘We are also advising residents of border sectors of Mohali to stay indoors and stay away from windows and glass surfaces.’ At the same time, sirens were sounded in Panchkula at 9:45 am on Friday. Panchkula District Deputy Commissioner Monica Gupta issued an advisory at 9:30 am on Friday and said that Panchkula district is still completely safe. People should go out of the house only when there is urgent work and ensure the safety of themselves and their families.
