CJP withdraws nation wide agitation after Education Minister resignation
The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has announced the end of its 36-day protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi over the NEET paper leak issue. It also appealed to the students involved in the protest to return home.
Following talks with senior Union Ministers JP Nadda and Dr. Jitendra Singh at the Constitution Club on Saturday, CJP representatives stated that the government had accepted all their demands, including the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, the withdrawal of the case, and a compensation of ₹1 crore (approximately $10 million) to NEET victims.
Following the central government’s acceptance of all demands, CJP representatives Saurabh Das and Ashutosh Ranka shared this information with reporters at the Constitution Club on Saturday in the presence of Union Ministers JP Nadda and Dr. Jitendra Singh.
During the meeting, the CJP representatives outlined their demands and stated that the government had accepted all of them. With this, they announced the end of the protest with immediate effect.
Prior to this, talks between CJP representatives and the government regarding the demands were held on July 20th and 24th. During the first meeting with CJP representatives at JP Nadda’s residence on July 20th, they raised these demands.
Following this, a second meeting between the government and CJP took place on July 24th at the Constitution Club. In this meeting, the government agreed in principle to both demands, except for Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation.
