Temperature below 40 degrees in Delhi after 40 days, IMD gave update on monsoon and rain

People got some relief from the scorching heat due to cloudy weather after rain in the national capital Delhi. The temperature in Delhi was recorded below 40 degrees after 40 days. While, there was relief from the scorching heat, but the humidity is still bothering. Similar weather is expected for the next one or two days. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also given good news about monsoon and rain and has told that the southwest monsoon has started moving forward once again.

Maximum temperature in Delhi 39.8 degrees

The maximum temperature in Delhi on Sunday was recorded at 39.8 degrees Celsius. However, it is still one degree above normal. At the same time, the minimum temperature has also dropped and it was 29.6 degrees, which is two degrees above the average temperature of the season. Giving information, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that there is a possibility of rain with thunderstorms on June 24 and 25. Earlier on Sunday evening, light to moderate rains occurred in some parts of Delhi, due to which the temperature has dropped. Earlier on May 12, the maximum temperature was recorded at 39.8 degrees Celsius and since May 13, it has remained above 40 degrees continuously.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the southwest monsoon had reached some parts of South Gujarat early on June 11, but after that it stopped for several days. Now the monsoon has advanced into the state on Sunday. The IMD said in its forecast that the conditions remain favorable for the monsoon to reach some more parts of Gujarat and adjoining North Arabian Sea in the next three-four days. The IMD said in its weather bulletin, ‘The southwest monsoon has advanced into the Arabian Sea, some more parts of Gujarat state, remaining parts of Maharashtra, some more parts of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, remaining parts of Odisha and some parts of Jharkhand.’

The weather department said that during the next three-four days, conditions are favorable for it to advance towards the North Arabian Sea and some more parts of Gujarat state, some more parts of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, remaining parts of Jharkhand and Bihar, some parts of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. After entry, the southwest monsoon did not advance into other parts of Gujarat for several days. The southwest monsoon usually enters Gujarat on June 15 and advances to other parts of the state including Ahmedabad, some areas of Saurashtra by June 20. It reaches most parts of Saurashtra by June 25 and the entire state by June 30.
