2 dead, 1 critically injured in car accident in Haldwani
A tragic road accident has come to light in Haldwani of Nainital district on Tuesday early morning. Two people died in the accident, while one person was seriously injured. Police has taken the bodies in its custody and sent them for postmortem. The injured was admitted to Sushila Tiwari Hospital. All the car passengers are said to be from Bageshwar. The car was badly damaged in the accident.
According to Haldwani Kotwali Police, a truck driver informed the Mandi Police Chowki that a Swift car collided with an unknown vehicle near Bareilly Road Teenpani Mandi. In which some people are trapped. Chowki Mandi Police immediately reached the spot and saw that three people were trapped in the car. Fire personnel were called on the spot and three people were taken out of the car by cutting the vehicle through a cutter. Two people died in the accident, while one person is seriously injured.
It is being told that an unknown vehicle hit the car and fled. The fire and police team reached the spot and took out the injured by cutting the car with a cutter. Three passengers were badly trapped in the car, the team had to work hard to take them out.
Haldwani Kotwali in-charge Rajesh Kumar Yadav said that the incident took place on Nainital Road in Mandi police station area. CCTV cameras are being investigated. Only after investigation will it be known which vehicle caused the accident. The relatives of the deceased have been informed. Postmortem proceedings are being done.
