2 IAF personnel drown in Nainital’s Musatal
Two Air Force personnel lost their lives while bathing in Musatal near Chafi village in Bhimtal of Nainital district. Police immediately reached the spot as soon as the information of drowning of Air Force personnel was received. Where the police team took out both the bodies after a lot of hard work with the help of local people. After which the police took the bodies in their possession and started further action.
Due to continuous rain in the mountains, rivers and streams are in spate. Police and district administration are appealing to the people not to go to the banks of rivers and streams unnecessarily, but despite that many people are overlooking the warnings.
One such accident happened in Musatal of Gram Panchayat Chafi of Bhimtal block. Where two Air Force personnel died due to drowning while bathing. Nainital CO Pramod Sah said that 8 friends had gone to Musatal of Bhimtal for a walk. Where 4 friends went to bathe in the pond.
Tragedy struck when two started drowning due to the water being deep in the pond. In such a situation, their friends tried to intervene, but could not save them.
