Decomposed dead body found floating in Naini Lake

Residents of Nainital were shocked to find a body floating in the lake on Sunday. The partially decomposed body was spotted by a man on morning walk who informed police. The dead body has been identified to be of Suresh Ram, son of Ramesh Lal, resident of Rajpura Chartan Lodge. Suresh’s relatives said that he had been missing for the last five days, his relatives had lodged a complaint in Mallital Kotwali two days ago. He used to work as an electrician in the market, along with being a tourist guide. After information about the dead body was spread, a crowd of people gathered on the spot. Kotwal Vipin Pant has considered this as a case of suicide, but it is clear that the real reason will be known only after the investigation. Ramesh Lal, father of the deceased, said, “He was the only earning member in the family. I don’t know what happened to him.”
