Chardham Yatra 2024: Doors of Kedarnath close for winter season
The doors of Kedarnath have been closed for winter today on the occasion of Bhai Dooj i.e 03 November 2024. Thousands of devotees visited Baba Kedar on this occasion. The process of closing the doors started from 4 am in the morning. The doors of the temple were closed for winter at 8:30 am as per rituals.
Procession left for winter seat
After the doors were closed, Baba Kedar’s Chal Utsav Vigrah Doli has left from its Dham for winter seat Omkareshwar temple Ukhimath with the tunes of the army band. The procession will first reach Rampur for night stay.
On Monday, it will reach Guptkashi from Rampur for night stay and on Tuesday from Guptkashi to Panchkedar seat Omkareshwar temple. Where it will be placed in the temple for six months of worship during the winter season.
Gangotri Dham’s doors were closed on Saturday
Among the four Dhams, Gangotri Dham’s doors were closed on Saturday on Annakut festival at 12:14 pm amid Vedic chanting. On this occasion, hundreds of devotees from the country and abroad had Nirvana Darshan of Maa Ganga’s palanquin.
Yamunotri doors will be closed today
Yamunotri Dham’s doors will be closed today on Bhai Dooj festival at 12:05 pm. In winter, Yamuna ji’s idol will be placed in Yamuna temple located in Kharsali village. Where devotees will be able to worship her.
