Chardham Yatra 2024: Over 5 lakh devotees visit Kedarnath in first 18 days of Yatra

The doors of Kedarnath Dham were opened on 10 May 2024 for the devotees of the country and abroad. A new record has been set in the pilgrimage of Kedarnath Dham in which 5,09,688 devotees have visited the holy temple town in just 18 days since the yatra began. The state government and the local district administration are constantly engaged in strengthening the arrangements so that the devotees arriving in large numbers do not face any inconvenience and trouble and to provide all the necessary basic facilities to the devotees.

So far, 22,394 devotees have visited Baba Kedarnath through heli service and 1,35,008 devotees have visited Baba Kedar through horses and mules and 3,38,653 devotees have visited Kedarnath Dham by walking on foot through the trek route.

Rudraprayag District Magistrate Saurabh Gaharwar is continuously reviewing the travel arrangements and all the concerned officials are being instructed to strengthen the arrangements further so that the devotees arriving to visit Kedarnath do not face any inconvenience or problem.
