Trials for boys category started in Rudraprayag under Mukhyamantri Udyaman scheme
The trial process has started in Rudraprayag district under the Mukhyamantri Udyaman Unnayan Yojana, run by the state government with the objective of encouraging sports talents. In this sequence, district level trials were organized for boys in the age group of 8 to 14 years at the Sports Stadium in Agastyamuni on Wednesday (April 16, 2025). District Sports Coordinator Shiv Singh Negi informed that more than 203 players from across the district participated enthusiastically in this trial for the boys category.
He informed that under the scheme, the selected players will be provided an incentive amount of ₹ 1500 per month, so that they can fulfill the sports related requirements. He informed that the dates of trials have also been fixed for boys and girls in the age group of 14 to 23 years in the municipal area including the three development blocks of the district. Under this, trials for girls will be organized on 21 April and for boys on 22 April.
He said that the Mukhyamantri Udyaman Unnayan Yojana will provide a strong platform to the talents of the district, so that they can represent themselves at the state and national level. Also appealed to all eligible participants to participate in the trials on time.
