India scored 181 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs while batting first against Pakistan in the second match of Super Four of Asia Cup 2022, powered by Virat Kohli’s half-century. Rohit and KL Rahul gave the team a strong start. The partnership between the two of 54 runs in 31 balls for the first wicket. Rohit Sharma returned to the pavilion after scoring 28 runs in 16 balls. KL Rahul got out after scoring 28 runs. There was a 29-run partnership for the third wicket between Virat and Surya Kumar. Suryakumar Yadav contributed 13 runs. Kohli along with Pant then added 35 runs in 25 balls for the fourth wicket. Rishabh Pant was dismissed after scoring 14 runs attempting a reverse sweep. Hardik Pandya was dismissed without opening the account. Virat Kohli scored 60 runs in 44 balls. Kohli shared 37 runs in 24 balls for the sixth wicket with Hooda.
In the final over Ravi Bishnoi hit back to back boundaries on the fifth and sixth deliveries to help India to go past 180 runs. This is the second time these two teams are meeting in Asia Cup 2022. The men in blue had won the first game.
