Vinesh Phogat withdraws retirement for 2028 Olympics
Vinesh Phogat, an Olympian and Congress MLA from Julana, who has brought glory to the country internationally, has withdrawn her decision to retire and expressed her desire to return to the wrestling mat. In an emotional post shared on her official account, Vinesh clarified that she is preparing to participate in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
Vinesh Phogat wrote that ‘for a long time she was asked whether the 2024 Paris Olympics was her final destination. But after taking time to reflect, recover from fatigue, and distance herself from the sport, she realized that her true identity still lies on the wrestling mat.’
