Chardham daily limit cap lifted

On the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Garhwal Commissioner / Chairman, Chardham Yatra Administration has decided to remove the daily limit set for the darshan of the Char Dhams in view of the convenience of the devotees.

Garhwal Commissioner / Chairman, Chardham Yatra Administration, Vinay Shankar Pandey has informed that at present, in view of the crowd being normal in all the Char Dhams, it has been decided in the public interest as per the instructions of the Chief Minister that for the convenience of the devotees, the quota which was fixed for the darshan of the Char Dhams in Rishikesh and Haridwar has been lifted, now the devotees can go on their journey easily by physically appearing at the registration counter of Rishikesh and Haridwar and getting direct registration of all the four Dhams. This order will come into effect with immediate effect for the convenience of the devotees coming to the Char Dhams.

Compared to last year, one and a half times more devotees visited Char Dham in one month

Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey has informed that this year there has been an unexpected increase in the number of Char Dham pilgrims as compared to last year. Last year, within one month of the start of Char Dham Yatra, 12,35,517 devotees visited the Dhams, whereas this year 19,64,912 devotees have visited the four Dhams, which is about one and a half times more this year as compared to last year.
