Heavy rainfall is expected in the mountainous districts of Uttarakhand on Thursday, July 30. The Meteorological Centre has forecast heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms and intense spells of showers for these districts.
According to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Centre, an ‘Orange Alert’ for heavy to very heavy rainfall has been issued for certain areas in the Bageshwar, Nainital, Champawat, and Pithoragarh districts. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are also likely in these regions. Additionally, spells of heavy rain are expected in isolated areas across other districts of the state.
Meteorologists have advised people to avoid unnecessary travel and stay away from riverbanks and streams during the inclement weather. Residents of hilly areas, in particular, are urged to remain alert and keep track of weather updates. This weather pattern is expected to persist across the state until August 4.
