These guidelines mandate nursing homes not to allow any unnecessary medical visitors to come. According to the new guidelines, nursing homes should entrust the care of a group of residents to a single staff to help prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Apart from this, the President said that the administration recommends to nursing homes to identify separate areas for healthy and sick residents. Trump said the practice could continue for a long time in health agencies. Their guidelines have come at a time when more than 140 nursing homes across the country have been hit by Covid-19.
He also said that guidelines for wearing masks will be given soon as protection from the disease. When asked about whether people should wear masks, Trump recommended the use of a scarf because it is thicker than a mask. He said, ‘People can wear it if they want to wear it (mask). Scarf is better in many cases. It is thick. ‘
