Coronavirus declared health emergency in China by WHO

In China, the celebration of the new year (Lunar Year) starting on Saturday has been disrupted. Public transport has been halted in 13 cities, including Wuhan, due to the outbreak of the mysterious Coronavirus. With this, the movement in these cities with a population of more than four crore has come to a complete halt. Not only this, even parts of the The Great wall including temples have been closed. There are special events in the temples on the New Year. So far 26 people have lost their lives due to the virus in China and more than 830 people are said to be infected.

Health emergency declared for China

The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared a health emergency for China. This global body, however, has not yet declared Coronavirus a Global Health Emergency. Such an announcement intensifies international efforts to deal with the outbreak of the corona virus.

Broke contact with Wuhan

The movement of millions of citizens in the country and abroad during the New Year holidays is expected to increase the spread of the virus. In view of this, movement is being stopped in the affected cities. The virus infection began last month from Wuhan, the capital of Hubei province in central China. The highest number of cases are coming from this city. All transport networks and outbound flights have been closed since Thursday in Wuhan.

Ban on movement from 13 cities

Chinese authorities also halted movement in four other cities of the province, Huanggang, Ezhou, Zhejiang and Qianjiang, in an effort to curb the outbreak of the virus. On Friday, the number of such cities in the province rose to 13, where public transport services including buses and trains have been closed. Many famous temples have been closed, including the Lama of Beijing. People arrive at these temples for worship on the new year. In many temples, celebrations on New Year have also been canceled.

Shanghai Disneyland also closed

Shanghai Disneyland has also been closed since Saturday due to the virus outbreak. This theme park has a capacity of one lakh people daily. All tickets are already sold out here during the Lunar New Year holidays.

The first case of the mysterious corona virus was first reported in Wuhan. There is no known cure for the virus at this time. Like other respiratory diseases, fever, cough and difficulty in breathing are symptoms of this infection. It can also cause pneumonia.

Virus reached seven countries

TheĀ  mysterious virus has reached many countries of the world including America. Infection cases have been reported in Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and the US. Some suspected cases have also been reported in Britain. A thousand-bed hospital is being built in Wuhan for the treatment of infected people in ten days. A city official said the hospital would be ready by Monday. For this, work is going on at a very fast pace.
