Uttarakhand weather update: Rains forecast for 6 districts

There is a possibility of rain and hailstorm in the higher reaches of Uttarakhand today (Monday). Whereas, there may be rain and thundershowers at a few places over the plains. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for rain for today.

According to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain may occur in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar, Almora and Pithoragarh. Apart from this, gusty winds can blow at a speed of 70 km with strong thunder in these areas.

Yellow alert issued till June 1

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain in the hilly areas from May 29 to June 1.
