International Yoga festival to be held in Rishikesh from March 1 to 7

Tourism Secretary Dilip Jawalkar took a meeting of departmental officials to prepare for the International Yoga Festival to be held from 1-7 March in Rishikesh.

After taking information about the preparations from the officials in the meeting held at Ganga Resorts of Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam in Muni-ki-reti, Tourism Secretary Dilip Javalkar said that on January 8, the Tourism Minister will hold a meeting in Dehradun to discuss the yoga festival.

Jawalkar said that it would be the government’s endeavor to celebrate the Yoga Festival this year more grandly than other years. Tourism Secretary said that in the year 2013, it was decided that arrangement of Char Dham travel arrangements will be made better in Rishikesh. For which around three acres of land near the bus terminal compound is being allotted to the tourism department.

Here, the system will be developed to make the center for travel operations and trace the travel route for the yatra route.
