Traffic plan issued for Mussoorie winter line and New Year’s eve

Mussoorie is all set for Winter Line Carnival and celebrations for 31st December. At the same time, the police has issued a traffic plan so that tourists do not have to face traffic jams after coming to the hill town. CO Traffic, ARTO along with the officials inspected and took stock of the parking system.

CO Traffic Anuj Arya said that there will be traffic pressure in Mussoorie during Winter line Carnival from 26 to 28 December and on 31 December. Therefore, a plan for parking and routes has been issued in the city. There is an appeal to the tourists to park their vehicles only in the designated parking places, so that the traffic system remains smooth.

Routes will remain diverted here

• Vehicles coming from Tehri bus stand towards Mussoorie will be diverted towards South Road from Anupam Chowk in Landour. Out of which vehicles going towards Dehradun will be sent from Civil Hospital side.
• Vehicles coming from Landour will be parked in MDDA parking. Vehicles going towards Dehradun will be diverted towards Picture Palace bus stand via Municipality office.
• Vehicles going from Library to Picture Palace will be diverted from Ambedkar Chowk towards Camel Back Road and sent out of Picture Palace barrier via Green Chowk, Kuldi Bazaar.
• Vehicles going from Mussoorie to Dehradun will be diverted from JP Bend towards Barlowganj via KinCraig and sent to Dehradun from Jharipani.
• Due to increase in traffic pressure at Library Chowk, vehicles going from Dehradun towards Kempty will be diverted from Zero Point towards Kempty Fall via Spring Road.
• Entry of heavy vehicles coming towards Mussoorie from Vikasnagar, Dehradun, Suakholi will be restricted during day time.
