Uttarakhand weather update: Chances of rain in the plains and mountains from February 27 to March 1

The weather pattern is likely to change once again in Uttarakhand from February 27 to March 1 due to the activation of Western Disturbance in the state and the pressure of northeast winds. Three days where there may be hailstorm with rain in the plains. At the same time, along with rain in districts like Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, snowfall may be seen in the higher Himalayan regions.

Meteorologists have also expressed the possibility of lightning at some places. Vikram Singh, director of the Meteorological Center, said that there may be snowfall in areas with a height of more than 2500 meters. There is a possibility of a decrease in the temperature due to the changingpattern of the weather.

From the plains to the mountains, heat is being seen in the state for the last several days. In the mountainous areas, the maximum temperature during the day is touching above 20 degrees. According to the report of the Meteorological Department, there has been very less rainfall in the month of February this year. The entire state has received an average of 2.4 mm of rainfall in February. Which is much less than the expected figure of 47.5 mm.
