Uttarakhand weather update: Mussoorie-Dhanaulti receive seasons first snowfall

The popular hill stations of Uttarakhand finally received much awaited snowfall. There has been snowfall in most parts of the state. Rain in the lower reaches and snowfall continues in the higher reaches. The tourists who were expecting snowfall also got excited seeing the snow today.

After the change in the weather in Uttarakhand, the sequence of rain and snowfall continued for the fourth day on Saturday. Light to moderate snowfall occurred on the peaks. Whereas, light rain was recorded in the low-lying areas. Chilly winds increased in the entire state due to cold winds.

First snowfall of the season in Dhanaulti and surrounding areas

The rains continued in Dehradun from late Friday night till early Saturday. At the same time, the first snowfall of the season also occurred in Dhanaulti and surrounding areas. This lit up the faces of the tourists. After this, there is a possibility of increase of tourists in Dhanaulti on Saturday.

The weather remained bad in Chamoli Joshimath for the third consecutive day. There was snowfall in Badrinath Dham, Hemkund Sahib as well as in high altitude areas including Gairsain, Auli, Rudranath. At the same time, there has been a huge drop in the temperature due to rain. The temperature in Joshimath has reached a maximum of 3 degrees and a minimum of minus one degree. Whereas in Auli the maximum temperature is one degree and the minimum is minus four degrees. conversation

Snow fell in Roopkund and Bedni Bugyal as well

The first snowfall of this season occurred in the Bugyals of the area including the tourist places Roopkund and Bedni Bugyal and the villages of the Himalayan region. Due to snowfall, the cold has increased in the villages of the high altitude area. Tourist places Roopkund, Bedni and Brahmatal have received first snowfall of this season.

Intermittent snowfall continued in Kedarnath for the third day as well. About three feet of snow has accumulated in Kedarnath. Due to this, there has been a long break on the reconstruction works.  The maximum temperature in Kedarnath was minus 6 and the minimum temperature was minus 11 degree Celsius.

In the last three days, about three feet of snow has accumulated in Kedarnath. The temple premises and the temple road are covered with snow. Along with this, all the construction sites under reconstruction have also come under the blanket of snow.
