AAP questions energy minister’s 100 unit free electricity annuncement
Aam Aadmi Party targeted the BJP government over 100 units of free electricity. AAP asked that the power minister should tell that till when will 100 units of free electricity be given to the people of the state.
AAP vice-president Razia Baig said in a statement that Energy Minister Dr. Harak Singh Rawat had talked about giving 100 units of electricity free as soon as he took over, but till now the government has not taken any decision on giving free electricity to the people of the state. AAP said that the BJP government is misleading the people by making false announcements.
The party questioned whether there is any intention of the government to provide free electricity or not. If yes, please tell how and for how long. Answer this to the people of the state. The AAP vice-president said that ever since Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has promised to provide 300 units of electricity free of cost if the government is formed in Uttarakhand, the BJP and the Congress have lost their sleep.
Whereas the Aam Aadmi Party got the support of more than 10 lakh people in the electricity guarantee campaign in a month. She said that Uttarakhand is a power generating state, yet its people do not get free electricity.
