Proposed National Skiing Championship to be held in Auli canceled due to less snowfall

The proposed National Skiing Championship in Auli has been cancelled. Ski and Snowboard Association of Uttarakhand Dehradun Secretary Praveen Sharma said that the championship has been canceled due to lack of snow. The championship was proposed from 23 to 26 February.

Chamoli District Magistrate Himanshu Khurana said that the official information about the cancellation of the championship is yet to be received. The event was slated to be held in mid January but had to be pushed back to February due to land subsidence crisis in Joshimath.
