Uttarakhand cabinet minister tests positive for Coronavirus
Corona report of Uttarakhand cabinet minister Satpal Maharaj has come out positive. Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar has confirmed this. Earlier on Saturday, his wife and former minister Amrita Rawat was also found to be Corona positive. After which she has been admitted to Rishikesh AIIMS.
According to departmental information, along with minister Satpal Maharaj, both his sons and daughters-in-law have also been found to be corona positive. Along with this, reports of about 17 staff members have also been corona positive.

Amrita Rawat, wife of Cabinet Minister Satpal Maharaj and former Cabinet Minister, was found infected with corona. On Saturday, her samples were examined in a private lab in Doon, where the report was found positive.
After Amrita Rawat’s report came positive, her residence on Municipal Road has been quarantined. This is the first case of a high-profile person being hit by a corona in the state.
Cabinet minister Satpal Maharaj had confirmed his wife Amrita Rawat’s report being positive. He told that Amrita Rawat’s health deteriorated on 24 May.
Her corona tests were done as the health deteriorated but the report came back negative. When Amrita’s health worsened on Saturday, a private lab in Doon tested her sample in which coronavirus has been confirmed.
Maharaj said that since Amrita’s health deteriorated, she was quarantined at home. A notice of home quarantine had already been placed outside their house.

After cabinet minister Satpal Maharaj’s report came Corona positive, the difficulty of cabinet ministers may also increase. Uttarakhand Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj had joined the cabinet held in the Secretariat on Friday.
In such a situation, along with Satpal Maharaj, there is a possibility of quarantine of other cabinet ministers as well. However, no decision has been taken in this regard yet.
