32 dead in bus accident in Kullu

In Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, 32 people have died in a bus accident. The private bus was on its way from Banjar to Gadagushani. Administration and villagers have so far rescued 31 injured people to the hospital. The bus was full of passengers. It was reported that there were about 63 passengers on the bus. Mostly college students were aboard the bus, who were returning after admission. Administration and the villagers are conducting rescue operation. Due to overloading, the bus could not climb and went into the trench. Transport Minister Govind Singh Thakur has ordered an inquiry into the accident. Five ambulances have been sent to Kullu from Mandi district.

PM Modi expressed sadness

PM Modi expressed grief over the incident. He said, “I have a deep condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the Kullu Bus Accident. I hope the injured people in the accident will be cured soon. The Himachal Pradesh Government is providing all possible assistance.”

Meanwhile, CM Jayaram Thakur has tweeted that “I am saddened about the news of the accident and death in the bus accident near Bajar in Kullu. May God the power to those grieved families to bear the sufferings of the departed souls, peace . Our government is with the families of the victims, they are being given immediate relief.”

Most casualties in the accident are mostly in the Saraj assembly area of ​​Chief Minister Jayaram Thakur. CM will also reach the spot from Shimla in some time. The injured and the deceased are said to be a resident of Gadagushani. So far,  about 18 women, seven children and 10 youths have been evacuated. All are seriously injured. All have been brought to Banjar Hospital for treatment. Some have been referred to Kullu in critical condition.

It is being told that the 42 seater bus had about 60 riders. Due to vertical climb on the accident site, the bus did not move forward or break, due to this the bus went down into the gorge. The road to the accident site was also quite narrow.

Meanwhile, Transport Minister Govind Thakur has said that the investigation of Banjar bus accident will be done. He said that first priority is the proper treatment of relief and rescue work and the injured.
