CM chairs cabinet meeting; know key points discussed

Many important decisions were taken in the state cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on December 22. The work done till now on Uniform Civil Code was kept in the Cabinet. The departments are working on the instructions given by CM Dhami on the groundwork of the MoU of the investment proposal by 15th February. CM will now review it. The government has laid emphasis on taking action on it.

These decisions were taken

-195 posts of dependents of deceased were unfrozen in roadways.
-The cabinet was informed about the work done so far on Uniform Civil Code and approval was taken.
-Employee Group Insurance Scheme increased from Rs 100 to Rs 350, Rs 200 to Rs 700, Rs 400 to Rs 1400. Insurance was increased from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 5 lakh, from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 5 lakh and from Rs 4 lakh to Rs 10 lakh.
-The recruitment for Group C posts was given to the Public Service Commission. Group C posts of deceased dependents, even if they come under the purview of Public Service Commission, will be recruited.
-Now only Sida will pass the maps of industries. The old system changed.

Changes in Chief Minister Mahalaxmi Yojana

-Antyodaya and BPL card holders will get one kg salt every month at the rate of Rs 8 per kg.
-Outsourced recruitment in veterinary hospital in Transport Nagar, Dehradun.
-The government will spend to provide one mobile van for animals in every block of Uttarakhand.
-Those doing PG in medical college have to fill a bond. There was a shortage of senior residents in medical colleges. In view of this, it was decided that now doctors will have to stay as a senior resident for two years instead of one.
-Two posts of Chief Development Officer will now be filled on suitable project basis. Brought to the notice of the Cabinet.
-Under Chief Minister Mahalaxmi Yojana, earlier kits were given only for the birth of two girl children. Now whether it is a boy or a girl. Kit will be given.
