Beautification works to be done along Saryu in Bageshwar

A meeting was held in the Collectorate Auditorium on successful implementation of Namami Gange scheme under the chairmanship of Bageshwar District Collector Vineet Kumar. The Ganga Safety Committee discussed the plan and proposed construction works. Proposals for 1968.85 lakh rupees were discussed.

In the meeting held on Monday, the Collector said that the plan is ambitious. He gave directions to the officers. Executive Engineer of the Irrigation Department AK John told that under the scheme, the work of city security, beautification etc. will be done on the right side of Saryu river. 585.39 lakh will be spent in Part One and Rs 1383.36 lakh in part two. 300 meters long new ghats will be built at Surajkund. There will be a new construction of the ghats near Bagnath temple. A 120 meter ramp from Gomti bridge to Kaal Bhairav ​​temple, construction of path and access road to Moksha Gate, Sangam will be constructed.

Construction of 980 meter long retaining wall from Surajkund to Bagnath temple, 3 meter wide walkway construction work above the wall, 500 meter long retaining wall, 3 meter wide walking path above the wall, 450 meter long RCC cantilever walkway construction work is proposed.
