India’s second innings was reduced to 307 runs. They had a mini collapse at the end losing 4 wickets for as many runs. This gave Australia a glimmer of hope in the 4th innings. Australia got a target of 323 runs to win. Team India bowlers then bowled out Australia for 291 runs to give the team a memorable win.
Now the second Test of the series will be played in Perth from 14-18 December. In the victory of India, Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammad Shami, Ishant Sharma and Jaspreet Bumrah have played an important role as well as batting of Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane. For India Ashwin, Bumrah and Shami took three wickets, while Ishant got a breakthrough. Cheteshwar Pujara, was the hero of India’s victory in the Adelaide Test. He scored 123 runs in the first innings of India’s innings, thanks to which the team scored a respectable score of 250 runs. Not only that, in the second innings of India, he played an important innings of 71 runs. Cheteshwar Pujara got the man of the match award for his performance.
