Strict weekend curfew to be observed in Almora

In view of the ever increasing corona infection in Almora, on the orders of District Magistrate Nitin Singh Bhadauria, it will now be observed on every Saturday and Sunday. This order will be in force from 5 pm today.

As per orders, there will be strict curfew on every Sunday and Saturday from May 07. During this period, all government and non-government, central offices and banks etc. will also be closed.

During this period, unnecessary movement will be completely banned.

They are the relaxations-

• Individuals or vehicles  involved in emergency services will be alllowed on national and state routes.
• Commercial vehicles and persons employed for loading and unloading.
• Weddings and other ceremonies that have prior permission. You will be able to travel with the conditions related to vehicles in hotels, banquet halls etc.
• Necessary and essential services like vegetable, medical stores, petrol pumps, dairy shops will be open till 12 noon on Saturday.
• Only medical stores and petrol pumps will open on Sundays.
