RTO conducts vehicle pollution certificate check drive in Almora
Pollution certificate is mandatory for all vehicles running on petrol and diesel. If you live in Almora or are coming to visit here, then definitely bring the pollution certificate of your vehicle with you. If you do not have the certificate, the RTO department can fine you. The RTO department of Almora has now started insisting on the pollution certificate of vehicles. A large number of people were driving vehicles without pollution certificate in the city, after which the checking campaign was intensified.
As soon as the action of the RTO department started in Almora, people started reaching the center to make pollution certificate. For not having the pollution certificate, a fine of Rs 2500 is being imposed by the department. Almora ARTO Navin Chandra Tiwari said that action is being taken against the drivers for not having the pollution certificate of the vehicles. If vehicles passing in and through the city are found without pollution certificate, then they are being fined for Rs 2500.
He further said that few people are aware about the pollution certificate of the vehicle. People are repeatedly told that along with insurance for the vehicle, pollution certificate is also necessary. Those whose pollution certificate is not made, their papers are confiscated and fined.
