Lakshya Sen gets grand welcome in hometown Almora
International badminton player Lakshya Sen, who paid a key role in India’s historic Thomas and Uber Cup 2022 campaign, was accorded a grand welcome on his arrival in Almora. Lakshya has earlier brought laurels to the country in many international competitions. Crowds of people gathered to catch a glimpse of Lakshya. Everyone wished Lakshya good luck for the Commonwealth, Olympics.
On Sunday, players, fans gave a warm welcome to Lakshya Sen, who was part of the Thomas and Uber Cup winning badminton team, on reaching Almora. His fans took out a victory procession from a place called Lodhiya, 10 km from the headquarters. After this, a large number of people had reached near Chaughanpata Gandhi Park to welcome Lakshya. People gave a grand welcome to the young shuttler Lakshya Sen by gifting a garland of flowers.
The young badminton sensation was given a grand welcome in a program held in a hotel auditorium. He was honored with a shawl. People in turn honored Lakshya and his father DK Sen and mother Nirmala Sen with shawls. The people of the headquarters have expressed hope from Lakshya that now he will bring glory to India in Commonwealth, Olympic Games.
