Multiple forest fire incidents reported in Uttarakhand

Forest fires have become formidable in the hilly districts of Uttarakhand. In view of the increasing difficulties of the Forest Department, the army has also started extinguishing the fire in the forest.

Record 227 incidents of forest fire reported

A record 227 incidents of fire were registered in the forests of the state on Wednesday. In which 561 hectares of forest area was damaged. A villager got injured while trying to douse the fire in Garhwal area. With this, a total of 1443 incidents of forest fire have taken place in the state so far. In which 2433 hectares of forest area has been affected.

On Tuesday night, forest fire reached the Government Inter College Kedarukhal in Karnprayag of Chamoli district. Due to which three classrooms and the furniture kept in them were doused in flames.

Forest fire reached the village in Dharchula

In Kumaon, except Udham Singh Nagar district, forest fire is increasing in the remaining five hill districts. On Wednesday, the forest continued to burn from Pithoragarh to Dharchula. In Dharchula, the forest fire reached the village. After the complaint of the villagers, the forest department swung into action.

The forests of Kapileshwar area, adjacent to the Pithoragarh headquarters, came under fire on Tuesday night. The fire spread from one hill to another. In Almora district on Wednesday also, forest fire incidents were reported in places like Dwarahat, Someshwar forest area including Dhaura, Sunoli etc.
