BJP announces list of candidates for Uttarakhand Assembly Elections 2022
BJP has released its first list of candidates for the assembly elections to be held in Uttarakhand. The names of the candidates have been finalized on 59 seats in the list. The second list may also be released soon. At present, the churning is going on for the selection of the candidates for the remaining seats. State election in-charge Prahlad Joshi announced the names of candidates for 59 seats in a press conference on Thursday.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will contest from Khatima seat. The special thing is that this time the ticket of Kunwar Pranav Champion has been cut from Khanpur assembly seat of Haridwar instead, the party has given ticket to his wife Kunwarrani Devyani.
Till late night, there was a churn on the panel of names of all the 70 assembly seats of Uttarakhand. During this, names were finalized on 59 seats. On Thursday, the BJP announced the names of candidates for 59 seats. On the other hand, there is a constant thought process is going on in the Congress regarding ticket distribution. Now because BJP has released its first list, Congress can also announce its candidates soon. Nominations for the upcoming assembly elections in the state are going to start from Friday.
