Uttarakhand daily Corona update: 468 cases found on 25 December

The new cases of corona in Uttarakhand continue to be around the 500 mark. The proliferation of virus every day is also challenging for the system. The situation is also worrisome because the infection rate has started decreasing even in the most affected states like Delhi. The positivity rate in Delhi has gone down by more than one percent. Whereas in Uttarakhand it has remained above three percent continuously. In such a situation some more effective steps are required. Along with the mask and physical distance, the same strictness with regard to tracing-testing appeared in the capital of the country, similar strict steps will now have to be taken here as well.

According to the health department, 14707 sample test reports have been received from government and private labs on Friday. Of which 468 reported positive and 14239 reported negative. Dehradun again has the maximum number of 160 people infected. In Nainital too, 110 people have reported positive. Besides, 52 people have been found infected in Pithoragarh, 26 in Haridwar, 24 in Uttarkashi, 23 each in Tehri and Udham Singh Nagar, 21 each in Tehri and Pauri, 10 in Chamoli, 5 in Bageshwar and 2 in Almora. 88844 people have been infected in Uttarakhand so far. In which 80738 people have become healthy. The number of active patients is 5510, while 1133 patients have moved out of the state.

Five more patients died

Another major concern in terms of corona is mortality. The death rate has been stagnant at 1.65 for a long time. While the death rate in the country is below one and a half percent. So far, 1463 corona-infected patients have died in the state. Five infected patients died on Friday too. Three patients died in AIIMS Rishikesh and one patient each in Doon Medical College Hospital and District Hospital Pithoragarh.
