Corona curfew in Dehradun extended to May 6

The district administration has now increased the curfew till May 6 in view of the rising case of corona infection in Dehradun. The exemption under the existing curfew order will continue. Medical store, milk, bakery, meat fish shop, fruit vegetable, grocery shops will be open till 12 noon.

Shops involved in essential services will also close after 12 noon. So far, they were allowed to open till two in the afternoon. Along with the exemption will be given to medicine shops, petrol pumps, people going to the wedding and people coming from outside. The authorities have been instructed to strictly act against those needlessly leaving the house during the Covid curfew.

All the District Magistrates and Police Captains should strictly follow the Covid curfew. Do not disturb the needy persons in the state, while be strict on those who make unnecessary movements.

Government offices will open

The government has decided to open government offices as before, amid the Covid curfew. Secretary Pankaj Pandey said that only 50 per cent of the employees of Group C and D would come to the office. With the number of gazetted officers in the state being around 12 to 15 percent, all of them would have to come to the offices.

Coaching institutes will be completely closed

The government has decided to completely close coaching institutes, swimming pools and spas in all districts. At the same time, any event, restaurants, theaters, public transport services will also be closed in the Containment Zone and Micro Containment Zone.

50 percent passengers in buses

Public vehicles (buses, Vikrams, auto rickshaws, etc.) will still be able to seat 50 percent of the passengers. Cinemas, restaurants and gyms will also run with 50 percent capacity. Violations will be taken under the Disaster Act and Indian Penal Code.
