Ben stokes takes indefinite break from International cricket

England’s marquee all-rounder Ben Stokes has taken an indefinite break from international cricket. This information was given by the England Cricket Board on Friday. According to the ECB, Stokes wants to prioritize mental health and family. This is the reason why Stokes will not be a part of the upcoming Test series against India.

The 30-year-old cricketer has been suffering from a finger injury for some time now and wants to take care of it. According to the report, he may stay away from cricket for the whole year and in such a situation there is doubt about his participation in the Ashes and T20 World Cup.

Stokes has been sharing his troubles about being away from family and mental health for a long time. Recently he had said that we are human and our mental strength is necessary.

The Indian team is present in England these days and has to play a five-match Test series from the host country here. The first match starts on August 4 and the entire series will be part of the World Test Championship. In such a situation, the absence of Stokes in the team will cause a big loss for England. Somerset player Craig Overton will be part of the England squad in Stokes’ absence.
