Earthquake tremors felt in Pithoragarh

Recently on September 12, the tremors of the earthquake  were felt in Chamoli. In the state, there are frequent earthquake tremors in Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Pithoragarh districts.

According to the District Disaster Management Department, the intensity of earthquake in Pithoragarh was 4.3 magnitude in the Richter scale. The depth of the earthquake is said to be 10 kilometers. According to the district administration, no damage has been reported from the earthquake. Here, people came out of their homes in panic in Talla Johar, a disaster affected area.

Significantly, after the disaster, the people of Chamoli are now in the fear of earthquake. The tremors were felt here on the midnight of 12 September. This led to the exit of the people from their homes. However, no damage was reported from anywhere. People of Chamoli district are suffering due to heavy rains and cloudbursts. This time the rains took torrential form and caused havoc at many places in the district. At the same time, the connectivity routes have also been destroyed.
