Uttarakhand corona update: No new case reported in 11 districts on October 10

Six new corona infected have been found in Uttarakhand in the last 24 hours. At the same time, not a single patient has died. While seven patients were sent home after recovery. The number of active cases has reached 172.

According to the bulletin issued by the Health Department, the test report of 11720 samples has come negative on Sunday. Not a single infected patient has been found in 11 districts of Almora, Bageshwar, Chamoli, Champawat, Haridwar, Nainital, Pauri, Rudraprayag, Tehri, Udham Singh Nagar and Uttarkashi. At the same time, five have been found infected in Dehradun and one in Pithoragarh.

So far, the total number of corona infected in the state has increased to 343668. Of these, 329991 people have been cured. A total of 7396 people have lost their lives due to corona in the state. The recovery rate of the state has been recorded at 96.02 percent and the infection rate at 0.05 percent.

Mega vaccination campaign will run in the state on Monday

A special campaign will be launched on Monday to increase the speed of vaccination against Covid-19 in the state. For this, the Health Department has completed preparations. So far, 96 percent of the people in the state have been given the first dose of the vaccine and 43 percent have been given both the doses.

The state government has set a target to vaccinate 100 percent people above the age of 18 years in the state by December. Despite the state having enough vaccines, the pace of vaccination has slowed down. To achieve the target, the health department will have to inject more than 60 thousand vaccine doses per day, but at present, an average of 25 to 30 thousand vaccine doses are being administered per day. A special campaign will be launched on Monday to increase the speed of vaccination in the state. In which the first or second dose of vaccine will be administered to people at about two thousand centers across the state.

According to the data of the Health Department, so far more than 1.6 crore people in the state have been given the first or second dose of the vaccine. In which 74 lakh people have received both the first and 32.51 lakh have received both doses. In the state, 96 percent people have got the first dose and 43 percent people have got both the doses.

State Immunization Officer Dr. Kuldeep Martolia informed that all preparations have been made at the district level for the vaccination campaign. There is no shortage of vaccine in the state. Adequate doses of vaccine are available with the districts.
