Neeraj Chopra wins gold at Kuortane games 2022

India’s star athlete Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra has put another gold medal in India’s bag. The star, who brought laurels to the country at the Tokyo Olympics, won another gold medal with a throw of 86.89 meters at the Kuortane Games in Finland. In a difficult situation, Neeraj proved once again by getting this medal that he is the real champion.

Neeraj won this medal by defeating Trinidad and Tobago’s Keshorn Walcott, who won the gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics. Walcott made a best throw of 86.64m here. Another athlete from India, Sandeep Chaudhary, threw 60.35 meters but he could not win the medal and had to be satisfied with the eighth position.

Neeraj threw the javelin to a distance of 86.69 meters in the first attempt. In his subsequent attempt, he slipped and his throw was declared invalid. On the strength of the same distance, he won gold here, although Neeraj had set a national record by throwing 89.30 meters at the Pavo Nurmi Games this month. The amazing thing is that even after making the record, Neeraj had to be content with the silver medal.

It was difficult to throw because of the rain. There was a lot of water on the field and balancing the water was not easy, even in such a situation Neeraj gave his best. When he went to make his third attempt, his foot slipped and he went out of line. According to the rules, his throw was not considered valid. The good thing is that he did not get any kind of injury due to slipping while throwing.
