Uttarakhand new CM likely to be announced after Holi

There is big news about the new Chief Minister in Uttarakhand. According to sources, the BJP leadership will announce the next CM after Holi. Sources said that a meeting of the legislature party will be called on March 19, in which the name of the new CM will be officially stamped and then the swearing-in ceremony will be held on March 20.

In Uttarakhand, BJP has won an absolute majority once with 47 seats. However, the party’s current Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami himself lost the election from Khatima seat. In such a situation, the contemplation phase is going on in the BJP regarding the Chief Minister of the state.

On the other hand, senior leaders of Uttarakhand BJP have also started reaching Delhi. On Saturday, the first cabinet minister Satpal Maharaj left for Delhi. After this, cabinet minister Subodh Uniyal also reached Delhi late in the evening. According to sources, both have met senior party leaders in Delhi. At the same time, Union Minister of State for Defense Ajay Bhatt met National General Secretary-Organization BL Santosh.

According to party sources, the top leadership is in favor of making an MLA the chief minister, out of which the first name is cabinet minister Satpal Maharaj and the second name is Dhan Singh Rawat. Both names are floating in the political aisles as the next chief minister, but all eyes are on the likes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and JP Nadda, as they have to make the final decision.
