37th All Uttarakhand Gold Cup from May 17

37th All India Uttarakhand Gold Cup will be held in Rangers ground from 17th May. This time, 16 teams from all over the country are participating in the tournament. In which many national level players are participating. Bhutan and Bangladesh teams had expressed their desire to play in the tournament, but they were not allowed because of no budget.

This information was given by PC Verma, secretary of the Cricket Association of Uttarakhand, in a discussion with reporters at Hotel Akta, Rajpur Road. Association President Hira Singh Bisht said that on May 17, the inaugural ceremony of the tournament will be inaugurated by Dr. Surendra Chandra Gairola, General Director, Indian Council of Forest Research and Education. He said that the winning team of the tournament will be given Rs. 3 lakh and the runner-up team will be given Rs. 2 lakhs.

Nine Ranji players must in teams

Association President Hira Singh Bisht told that he has laid out a condition before all teams participating in the Gold Cup. Of the players involved in the team, nine players must have played in Ranji Trophy. He said that Gold Cup is a prestigious tournament, whose popularity is nationally and internationally. He told that the team of Bangladesh and Bhutan had contacted the team to join the tournament. But due to financial constraints, the two teams were not included.

Matches to be held at Rangers Ground and Tanush Academy

He said that all the matches of the tournament will be played in the Rangers Ground and Tanush Academy. This time the teams of Kolkata and Tamilnadu are also participating in the tournament. The tournament will include many other IPL players including Rishi Dhawan, Parvendra Awana, Jayant Yadav and others.
