Rain alert for 7 districts in Uttarakhand till September 6

For the past several days in Uttarakhand, the rains have made life miserable for the people. While the plain districts are facing water logging due to heavy rains, on the other hand, the situation is worse in the hilly districts and there are frequent incidents of landslides. Several roads have completely collapsed in the mountainous region and landslides have caused massive destruction in many parts. Everyone is just praying that there will be relief from the rains, but at present the residents of Uttarakhand will not get relief from the rains. The Meteorological Center in Dehradun has issued a yellow alert keeping an eye on heavy rains in many parts of the state till September 6. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain bad in most of the districts of the state till September 6 and the torrential rains will also continue. According to the Meteorological Department, there are chances of light to moderate rain at different places in the hilly districts and heavy rain at some places.

Anticipating heavy rains till 6 September, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert. As per forecast on September 5, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain on 5th September at Tehri, Pauri, Nainital, Pithoragarh, capital Dehradun, Bageshwar, Champawat and other places, while on 6th August also the capital Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Nainital, There is a possibility of lightning in Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Champawat along with rain. In such a situation, the Meteorological Department has appealed to the people living in all these districts to stay alert till 6 September. The Meteorological Department has also alerted the administration about problems like landslides, debris coming on the roads, rising water level in river drains due to yellow alert.
